Robert Weir Network Consultancy developed in Manchester in the late 1990`s. The millennium "bug" gave the company impetus & a loose coalition of independent professionally qualified computer & IT consultants began to work together with small business (SME) mainly in the south of the city (Chorlton-cum-Hardy) & north Cheshire.
In September 2011 I moved rwnc to Dumfries in Scotland to be closer to family & to return to the homeland after a diaspora & exile of nearly 40 years. How great it feels to be home...
So there is a new spark, a renewed fire in the belly, a resurgent lust for life, a desire to pass on my knowledge & experience of computers, the Internet & the www to business & the community around Dumfries.
I, personally, take great pleasure in, & have a great interest in the Arts: studying towards a Masters degree with the Open University in the History of Art. I am currently working with the Gracefield Arts Centre in cataloguing part of their collection, and I feel extremely priviledged for that opportunity.
